Resistance will be very fierce from some small producers because they’ll have to raise the quality of their wines, even at the very first level. It is true that the AOC system allowed the creation of very poor wines sold at outrageous prices. That will be the end of that system. I do have a lot of hope in that new system as well as a lot of winemakers and producers of fine wines, such as Domaine de Trevallon.

I hadn’t heard some of this before and I think, overall, it will be positive for the creation of ‘brands’ from France although resistance will be fierce (as we all expect from the French vignerons)
