Wine.com launches appointment delivery service

Rumors said amazon.com and the Wall Street Journal would be soon selling wine on line. Both seem to have problems implementing their new services and didn’t announce any date yet. But still… It’s no good news for their competitors.

Wine.com is stepping up and launching a new service that consumers will certainly appreciate. The site is offering Saturday, date-specific and by appointment delivery. It also introduced the Steward-Ship Program offering unlimited standard shipping for $49 a year.

Those initiatives are what good customer service is about. I wish our European on line wine stores were a little more aware of customers’ wishes and needs!
