Thanks for the kind summary and analysis of our article. I agree there needs to be better and more B2B applications as well as ones that allow wineries to interact with mobile users (but not as individual wineries, but in aggregate). You are too kind and this mention was much appreciated.

I enjoyed reading your comments. I understand your concern regarding apps for wine professionals. I believe this will continue to improve with time as more attention is shifted to the mobile devices.

When we launched our Velvet Vine project (over a year ago now), there appeared to be plenty of interest from businesses, wineries, etc. We got the impression from them (at the time anyway) that the iPhone was a novelty and this effort would be short lived. Clearly the sentiment has changed, but these things do take time to develop. I would love to hear more insight from you from the professional angle. Feel free to contact me any time.
