Hi Evelyne:
We at Brane Cantenac are also extremely active on ' Facebook ' and 'twitter'- though a bit less with that medium cause a bit limited... Actually, for two years in a row, we have held 'primeur' tastings for our Facebook page readers and have had a very good success with that idea. The first year, the tasting took place on a weekend and included a visit of Brane's cellar and vat room. This year, we chose a small, trendy restaurant and had a 'tasting' party during which we introduced the 2009 Brane and Baron de Brane as well as other older vintages.
The turn out was excellent and ranged from just amateurs to wine journalists or bloggers- even a few foreign ones showed up!!!! We are planning on doing something much larger next year around Vinexpo time roughly -along with Coutet -to join forces. It will be happening at the same time in three different cities. Paris, NY and Singapore. Brane currently has 1100 members on its facebook page. And it keeps rising..
In addition, our website is very dynamic, updated every day practically . It is informative, easy to use and in English and Chinese. A must these days...
Our blog(bi - lingual) is quite popular because we do post everything we do...including tons of photos...ie: our 'extra- ordinary' tasting of New Zealand wines last week...) It is a must to try to be different and use all the social media , otherwise we would disapear among the slew of other classified growths and all the great wines produced around the world! It is a question of being heard and seen...so as then to be tasted!
thanks for your great inputs and articles Evelyne... hoping to see you one day at Brane!
