A former executive of yahoo!, Doug Cook, discovered the pleasures of wine and figured out that no search engine was very efficient for wine lovers. He started a list of a few hundred sites and is now up to 33,000 sites and 10 million pages indexed. Why not create a search engine? He had the technological knowledge and the wine spirit!
Called AbleGrape.com, this first wine search engine is very specific to the wine industry: no need to type "St Supery wines" anymore; just type "st supery" and you'll get all the information you need on the Californian winery. It has a convenient and rather convivial navigation system - even for distracted and non-technological web surfers. I really enjoyed doing research with ablegrape!
